I've written all of my recent fics in present tense. (I picked this up partly from reading the wonderful works of ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
kannaophelia and also from a published novelist I like, Carol Anshaw). The problem is I'm trying to go back to writing in past tense, and I can't! I think past tense has left me.
In addition to my main fic Under Their Skin, I'm working on my ficathon assignment for the Zoe/Wash ficathon over at![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
wifesoup. I'm greatly enjoying my assignment. I am acquainted with the person whose request I've been assigned and I believe she likes my work -- yay! That makes this all the more fun. But her fic is going to have to be in present tense since past tense is in the past for me now.
