Gay movies. Lesbian movies.

On rare occasions, I watch a movie on Netflix and write a bit about it here, especially if it’s a movie that people might not have heard of. I’ve done a few posts on movies that feature gay male characters (Wedding Wars, I Love You Phillip Morris, and The Sum of Us were all pretty good). But I’ve never written much about any lesbian movies I’ve seen.

I do watch them, but I hate to say that lesbian movies often aren’t that good. One reviewer on Netflix said that she rates lesbian movies on a curve, since they often are low-budget and just don’t get the best actors or the best scripts.

And let’s face it, I crush out on gay men and always have (there’s a reason I’ve written reams of slash), so why pretend otherwise?

But here’s what I wanted to do in this post:

1. Mention some decent lesbian movies I’ve seen

2. Crush out over the cute guys in the gay movie “Queens”!

Cute gay boys in movie alert!

I saw the Spanish-language (English subtitles) movie “Queens”, a lighthearted romp about 3 male-male couples who are getting married in Spain, and their mothers’ reactions to the marriages. It wasn’t all that funny or touching, but it did have some sweet moments. It was a “feel good” movie. And several of the guys were really cute. Yeah. I admit that.
