I don't have much to add other than what's on the last post. Our travel home was easy. Flight was actually delayed by 90 minutes but when you're sitting in the business class lounge, you don't care!  Seriously, everything was smooth. The return flight took more than an hour longer than the flight out there (not counting the delay, of course) but I wrote 4,000 words in my fanfic, watched The Flash (which I actually really liked despite the terrible reviews and icky star), and Aquaman (which I actually thought kinda sucked? Doris fell asleep during it and I nearly did too). Weirdly I didn't touch any of the books I'd downloaded on my e-reader during the trip; I just read the paper books I'd brought.

Truly I am so grateful - no issues with luggage or stuff going missing or getting lost on public transport (we did get on the wrong train once but quickly realized it and it was an easy fix by getting off at the next stop), nothing bad with the convention, food was generally great, sleep was really good after the first couple days passed. We got done exactly what we wanted: had a blast at the convention and got the sight-seeing in too.

Needless to say, most folks would say the trip was too damn short. We left on a Tuesday and returned on a Monday. Six days. I get it. If you're gonna cross an ocean, stay at least 1 week or preferably two. But like I said above, I got out of it exactly what I wanted, and as for Doris, well she had to go back to work. She's self-employed. This was our first "big" vacation since a cruise in January 2016. No idea when we'll do another "big" trip, so if we want to do something weird like spend less than a week in Europe, so be it.

Got home yesterday. (It is so strange to wake up on one continent and go to bed on another). Darra was adorable - glued on top of me last night and this morning, so affectionate. There was a thunderstorm last night and it was kinda fun to be out like a light, thunderstorm in progress, cute cat atop me.  Due to the time difference, I went to bed really early yesterday and woke up really early today, but that's an easy fix. Each night I'll just make myself stay up a wee bit later until I reach my usual schedule.

And of course now I never want to fly anything but business class again.

woohoo for enjoying the business class lounge! So nice to be able to relax and enjoy. Did they have good food there too?

I havent seen the new aquaman yet, but we also liked the flash movie.

And, yes, it was a short trip, but like you said, Doris can't just take extended time off. I'm glad you got to go, have fun, and enjoy. And so sweet that you had a kitty on you, she missed you!

Did you go back to work right after you came back, or did you give yourself a couple extra days off?

And I don't blame you on the business class! Like I was saying in our messages, I'd be like 'i need a lie flat seat for this 2 hour flight please' :)
