Gratitude stuff:

- After a heat wave, we've had gorgeous weather today. I took more than 1 long walk

- Doris was off last weekend. We went to our city's PRIDE celebration (which was....um okay? There were 4 food trucks, one that had tacos and 3 that had ice cream. Ice cream was covered! We did get a dairy-free rasperry sorbet. Other than that, there was a magician who wasn't set up yet, a bouncy castle, and face painting. Let us say this was a very family-focused PRIDE). On our way back, we stopped at an open house and a garage sale, and I truly loved just doing.....stuff like this with Doris! Then it was game night which was also awesome.

- Once again I love during surveys online. I can't believe that I've already made over $115

- I read a Wesper/Shadow and Bone fic that I loved and it got me re-interested in them. So I picked up one of my Wesper multi-chaptered fics and added on to it!

- Looks like it's gonna happen....Alaska (drag queen) has a show in NY starting in October, and Doris and I will go and meet Pam there. Not sure yet which weekend

- Also, weird story but the local Dems have an annual fundraiser. I'd mentioned to them that I can't go. Someone texts me 2 hours before and says I am going to be honored as a Volunteer of the Year. Makes no sense, I have done literally nothing but help staff tables at the farmer's market. I texted words to the effect of 'thank you....I'm sorry I still can't be there tonight though'. Well, whatever. I say I am the least-deserving Volunteer of the Year ever.

- For work, we had an all-day meeting at a different location. Had to take different public transit, and I am pleased that it all worked well. It's true, doing 'new' stuff like that really does seem to have a positive impact on the brain. Also, I managed to participate well enough at the meeting. Downside though....they asked us in advance for dietary restrictions, but at lunchtime? Nothing vegan. The building had a food court and I had to go downstairs and purchase something. Charged it to the company and hope I don't get blowback for that

Can I count the first and last items as #s 24 and 25 on my 'new and daring' list? Sure, why not?
