I don’t post much regarding politics anymore. I’m not sure why. Not everyone on my f-list agrees with me politically but I’m okay with that. My friend Laurie and I don’t agree on much politically other than LGBT rights, but I still think she’s cool. Basically I have adopted an ‘agree to disagree’ stance.
But I have to post that I am ecstatic about yesterday’s election results! I stayed up way past my bedtime watching it all on MSNBC. Romney was defeated, Obama getting a second term. Most Republican politicians are just too extreme and I was happy to see that party take a beating yesterday. Pro-marriage equality initiatives won at the polls for the first time ever, Tammy Baldwin will be a US Senator, more women are in the Senate, and - closer to home - Tammy Duckworth beat her odious opponent. I am celebrating.
