Question for the Azazel/Riptide fans on my f-list

My beta tester told me she thinks I should step out of my comfort zone in my Azazel/Riptide fics. Do you have any suggestions or prompts along those lines? Something different you'd like to see me write?

I don't have any fics or plot bunnies in the works right now but am totally open to stepping out of my comfort zone. After having written 14 fics, 1 drabble, 3 smutfics, and 6 cracky fics it might not hurt if I take a break from writing AzRi. But I also look forward to the idea of doing something totally new.

Hm, as in, prompts for X-Men fics that are not Azazel/Riptide or prompts that are not X-Men related at all?

Neither - more like AzRi fics but on a topic or theme I haven't before explored.

Your comfort zone is much more bigger than mine in this area so I don't now if I'll be any help here, unfortunately ^^'

But mayb ehow about changinf the POV? Like... writing from POV of a person who isn't Azzy or Rip? Erik, for example?

Hmmm, perhaps trying to vary your style a little? Try a first person POV instead of past tense, perhaps?

I don't know how you feel about either of these, but they are outside your usual. I still want this one written:

We have a lot of Azazel saving Riptide. I would love a story where a normally quiet Riptide(but not Mute!Riptide, please) goes all badass to save Azazel. See, Azazel has been taken by this rich insane guy(human or mutant, doesn't matter to me) who has this brothel(my choice) or whatever(up to the writer) where wealthy people(again, human or mutant) can have their way with the mutants he's captured(and incapacitated with some sort of collar(or chip). See where the magic comes in? Riptide and the Brotherhood rescue Azazel and free the other mutants, but then Azazel is humiliated/can't deal with what was done to him and he lashes out/is distant with Riptide. I love hurt/comfort so much. If someone writes this for me, I will love you forever.

Riptide whorefic is great also.

And maybe try and AU, modern day story, where humans are aware of mutants, and they are somewhat accepted? Maybe Azazel less so because of his appearance, and he and Janos meet(and sleep together) and fall in love, but Azazelcan't believe that Janos,(being so normal looking and pretty) can accept him. The rest of the XMFC characters are their friends(or possibly enemies?).
