A few gratitude moments

1. I mentioned how awesome our NYE party with friends always is. Also - special shout out to NYE's morning. I got up and took a long walk. It was cold out, but when I got inside, I drank hot cocoa and played a game of Hearts and watched the latest Expanse with Doris. All of those little things were nice

2. Started watching Young Royals. (And am almost done since only 6 episodes are out now). Really love it. Getting all the feels from its gay couple.

3. And omg, something awesome has been happening this week! So, every year Doris gets stressed out because she has to do this Accounting thing for her business where she reconciles each month. It takes her forever and she hates it. And she normally starts it in October, but so far she had not started it at all - which is bad, because her accountant needs it mid-Feb. She talked about hiring our nephew to do it. Then I was like wait....can't I be trained instead? After all, our nephew lives 45-60 minutes away and is a full-time college student. So, Doris trained me to do it. And I'm almost done with the entire year! I did make one mistake that took us a while to fix, but other than that, it's been going really, really well. Doris had thought she would get this in just under the wire, getting it to her accountant like on Feb 15, its due date. But now we are nearly done! I helped Doris and learned something new.

We had a great time at NYE! And made it home in no time since there was no traffic! :) I love coming in from the cold and enjoying a nice hot chocolate and relaxing! Rollin and I watch a few shows together and I love it when we can watch something together :)

Haven't heard of young royals. WHat's it about?

and WOW!!! THat's super awesome about the accounting thing! SO COOL! You get to learn something new, you help Doris, Doris doesn't have to spend weeks earing her hair out about it, etc. So nice. And maybe something you can keep doing if she keeps working after you retire.

Young Royals takes place in contemporary Sweden. Apparently Sweden still has a monarchy, and one of its princes goes to boarding school and meets a hot guy. :) No, in all seriousness, the story is good. (Apart from the cute gay couple)

I am really loving helping Doris with her accounting!

I have really been enjoying hot chocolate this year. One of my coworkers brought in not one, but TWO boxes of hot chocolate mix so we could have it at work, which was especially fun when it started snowing out.

And yay for helping out Doris with a work thing! Sounds like it made both your lives easier.
