Another gratitude plus other stuff post
Jan. 31st, 2022 11:24 amGratitude moments:
- Still doing more Spartacus fanfic writing, and it's going well
- We also did a group rewatch of Spartacus, thanks to the wonders of Discord. The Discord group watched it together and commented during it, and it was a blast. We did 3 eps and plan to do more this weekend. People even laughed at my jokes.
- A restaurant that is rarely on Uber Eats or any of the other delivery apps was on it Saturday. Loved what I ordered!!
- My passport arrived with lightening speed! I didn't pay extra for expedited processing, and I can't believe that it took less than a month. Glad to have the new passport in hand
- Dr Murray the gynecologist. Is awesome. She took care of my gross issue a week ago. Thank you Dr Murray!!
Other:
- I set step goals for each day. On the days when I focus more on cardio, the target is higher. Damn sometimes it is hard to meet the goals I set! I set them high because I love to eat so I feel I need to balance that out with cardio. Now that the weather is bad, I'm not talking outdoor walks and instead doing a lot of marching in place while watching TV. I'm not sure what I will change or if I'll change anything. Just that on the cardio days, I feel like I do nothing but work and march. :) Some days I don't even have time to crack a book or write two paragraphs of fanfic.

Date: 2022-01-31 08:22 pm (UTC)Also great news about one of your fave restaurants being on uber eats on Sat! Woo!
Congrats on the passport! Too bad it means you don't have that excuse to get out of that florida trip
ANd yay for Dr. Murray! I think I'm overdue for a visit actually. I know I've seen her during the pandemic, but I don't remember when.
Curious about your cardio days... do you set your steps higher based on that you'll get more steps during cardio? Like if your daily amount is 10,000 steps but you know you get 5,000 steps doing cardio, you set your daily total to 15,000?

Date: 2022-01-31 10:38 pm (UTC)As for my step targets, this is my approach:
- Tues, Thurs, Fri and Sun are cardio days. Daily target is 14K each day
- Wed and Sat are weights days, so the step target is lower to encourage me to really focus on those weights. Target is 10K on Wed and Sat
- Mon is rest day, though I do say that unless I am ill or injured that I still aim to get 10K steps

Date: 2022-02-01 10:05 pm (UTC)I need to step up my steps (ha). Being at home all the time + the bad weather + everything else has left me not getting much exercise. When I go to the grocery store (as long as it's not too people-y and I'm alone) I will wander the whole store because I know I'll get a bunch of steps :) I'm sure Doris gets a lot of steps at work! I didn't think I got that much walking at work until I went back for the first time and I was like wow, just walking to the copier, the bathroom, peoples' offices, it was a lot more than I thought!
