Random gratitude
Oct. 10th, 2022 06:59 amI was hoping to have an update on the Sachin situation when I went to do my next gratitude post, but I don't so I'll just roll with what I have. (And remind myself to stop checking Cameo all the time for his reply)
- Caught up over the phone with both Pam and Laurie
- Ordered some candies from Lagusta's Luscious. Still amazed at how good they are
- Went to 2 events at work that my boss couldn't make. Brownie points! Seriously, I do think she appreciates it when I do this stuff
- Game night on Saturday. It was just what I needed, given how Doris has been running around taking care of her parents, running her mom's business, and working at her own job where she works 5 or 6 days each week. I was reminded "accept everything, expect nothing". (And Doris insists she's doing fine, and things will get easier when her sister gets here late on Thursday)
- Caught up with the series Call the Midwife. It's so funny....the show is not addictive, I'll never be reading/writing fanfic about the characters. And yet. It's good. Even makes me cry sometimes. It's like it found just the right level of 'good'.
- Yay, my favorite actor from Spartacus landed a new role! His name is second on the billing which is amazing. Usually when one of my favorites gets a role, they are like 10th on the bill. :)
- Got a copy of Helen Humphrey's novel "Coventry" from a Little Free Library. I remember trying to find it ages ago and not ever finding it. Started reading it and it is captivating.

I've enjoyed Humphrey's stuff before, glad this is another good one!
