Random gratitude

- I did, indeed, get the COVID. This is day 5 since the symptoms started. I'm grateful that I'm home, that it's fairly mild, and that I am able to be off work. (Though the last 2 days I felt well enough to go through emails)

- Thank goodness the flight home was easy, no delays. Especially since I wasn't feeling good at all physically. And yes, mom and I wore masks on both flights. I'd say less than 10% of other people did.

- I called Orbitz and they are giving me a credit for the Vancouver trip that I had to cancel! And I easily cancelled the hotel, and the event organizers refunded my money too.

- Nyquil is working again! (I took it twice semi-recently before COVID and it did nothing. But it's working again now. Whatever, I am so glad that I can sleep despite COVID). I also had a very weird thing last night where I just decided to lie down early and rest. I was out a full 8 hours, without Nyquil - and most importantly, without waking up with a cough or a stuffy head. Yesterday I was well enough to take a long walk.

- Instacart worked nicely. Which was good since I can't go to the grocery store.

- And about that anime con? I posted on the FB group for fans of The 100 the pic of Alessandro and me. I got a lot of very nice comments on it. One person told me I looked beautiful. And yeah I'm still happy about the "my Raven" moment. 

- And I keep wearing the cheap red bomber jacket that I bought to cosplay Raven, just to remind myself of how much fun the con was

- Okay, this might sound low but my inlaws have been annoying me lately so I was glad that I didn't have to do Thanksgiving yesterday and could just stay home due to COVID :)

Oh no!! I'm sorry you've got The Plague. :( Although it's kind of amazing how long you avoided it, considering all the traveling you do. At least it's one of the lesser variants! It is one of the lesser variants, isn't it? That's how it seems, the longer we go on, the more contagious about also less deadly it gets. And good that they gave you credit for that trip.

Heh, that's the thing about cosplays--you will find that you love some of the parts of the costume enough to keep wearing them out and about. That's how it is for me, anyway!

Yeah, it sucks but no complaints. It's Saturday and I feel really good today. It's just like a mild cold right now.

Really glad your symptoms have been mild and you've been sleeping well!

I love that your interactions with Alessandro were so nice, and it's so awesome that the 100 fandom was so sweet! Yay! Personally I love cosplay that you can make out of stuff you already have or stuff you can continue to use afterwards, and having it associated with a good memory is even better :)

So sorry about the inlaws. I get it, especially since Doris has been spending SO much time taking care of them lately.

It really was a great trip! Alas it kept me from Vancouver and Sachin, but no point in crying over spilt milk. I'm glad I went. I am surprised that I haven't needed Nyquil at all the past 3 nights - good news.
