- Ghosts was renewed for S3!

- Is it bizarre that I write "I walked to the grocery store Pete's Fresh Market and walked back, since Doris' car was in the shop again, and I'm glad it was all pretty easy". Like who in their right mind is grateful for that sort of thing?? But I am. I guess I like living somewhere walkable and that I'm fit enough to do the round trip.

- I got a ton of time with Doris on Saturday since she was off that day and our plans were cancelled. We watched a lot of Downton Abbey. (God I LOVE this show!) And a restaurant we like, Ground Control, is closing so we got to eat there for one last time. 

- Scrabble date with Ann on Sunday! Which involved meeting at the coffeeshop Peet's, and they have a vegan breakfast sandwich. Good location found!

- Another shoutout to Mary Pipher. I'm reading a second book by her and just somehow finding her writing so comforting and relatable.

- With my company doing layoffs, I am spending less money. But I still will treat myself to an occasional Cameo from Sachin. His last one was awesome. The question I asked him was about whether he thought the short movie he made would ever get a wide release. He answered the question but he also asked me stuff about myself. Like how I was doing with the layoffs pending (I'd mentioned it to him in a message, to explain why I'd be ordering fewer Cameos) and he mentioned my upcoming visit to Vancouver. Like he brought up those 2 items without being prompted, and I'm so happy for it! He even mentioned that he'd try to think of a way for me to get to see his short film, though I don't know if he can really come through on that

- Update on the job stuff. I heard back from Mercy For Animals and unfortunately I will not be getting an interview. I am sad that they aren't even going to interview me. But for a well-paying job at a nonprofit, perhaps they got thousands of applicants. Perhaps they weeded out anyone who'd never worked for a nonprofit or never worked in the exact job title. The posting site did say "initial application review December 21" so maybe they'd already gotten down to a few finalists before I applied. Looking thru LinkedIn, I saw a job that I thought might be....okay so I decided to just apply for it. Haven't heard back on that one yet.
